From Sports to Psychology to Personal Training<\/h2>\n

Dara’s path to becoming a personal trainer is as unique as it is inspiring. Growing up, Dara was immersed in the world of sports, engaging in every kind imaginable. However, it was not until he ventured into the realms of psychology and performance psychology that he found his true calling. Dara’s academic journey led him from studying psychology to pursuing a Masters in performance psychology, highlighting his deep-seated passion for understanding the human mind and its capabilities.<\/p>\n

The turning point in Dara’s career came when he worked in a boxing gym while studying. The energy, atmosphere, and the sight of individuals working tirelessly towards their personal goals ignited a fire in him. Dara knew he wanted to contribute to this dynamic environment in his own unique way. Thus, he made the switch to personal training, blending his psychological insights with physical training to offer a holistic approach to wellness and self-improvement.<\/p>\n

Dara lives by a powerful quote: \u201cIf you can\u2019t fly, then run. If you can\u2019t run, then walk. If you can\u2019t walk then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward!\u201d This philosophy encapsulates his approach to personal training and life. Dara is committed to helping others achieve the best version of themselves, recognizing that the journey towards personal improvement is both unique and continuous.<\/p>\n

  1. What\u2019s your go-to guilty pleasure meal or snack after a long day?<\/strong> “My go to guilty snack is unfortunately anything sweet. Chocolate or ice cream probably tops the list.”<\/li>\n
  2. Beyond the gym, what\u2019s your favorite way to unwind and recharge?<\/strong> “I like to unwind by keeping active when I can, this works best for me to switch off for a while! I\u2019m enjoying exploring the Netherlands, but also enjoy running and reading in my time off.”<\/li>\n
  3. If you could train anyone in the world, alive or historical figure, who would it be and why?<\/strong> “Without a doubt I would train Muhammad Ali! His charisma and energy can\u2019t be matched. I also believe I\u2019d learn a lot in an hour with him.”<\/li>\n
  4. What\u2019s a hobby or interest of yours that might surprise people who only know you as a trainer?<\/strong> “Our Spanish speaking clients know that I back myself as a part time linguist. I enjoy learning about different cultures; foods, traditions and people, and probably will make a bad attempt at speaking the language. Luckily for me Amsterdam is a very diverse community, so I\u2019m learning a lot.”<\/li>\n
  5. If you were a workout move, which one would best describe your personality and why?<\/strong> “The push up – down to earth and reliable.”<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
